Mac OS X: Using administrative systems

The IT department wants to make the employees at UiB aware that there are features of all administrative systems of techniques that do not always work on Macs. Administrative systems such as ePhorte and FS should not be used by Mac users. Anyone who want's to buy a Mac, and would rely on the Mac as their primary workstation, should think carefully about what tools and systems they are dependent on using in their work.

The IT department will work on bringing about a new solution that will work regardless of the type of machine and the operating system each user is using. Until this solution is in place, we ask all who rely on the administrative systems to ensure that they have a Windows machine available. We ask everyone to remember that BRITA does not offer support on the use of administrative systems on a Mac.
