If you need to share large files with people outside your unit at the university, the service UNINETT FilseSender can probably help you. This web service allows you to upload files and make them available to those you choose via email. You can also give others the opportunity to upload a file to you via a "guest voucher".
UiB subscribes to the service via Feide, so everyone at UiB with a Feide user account (both students and staff) can use the service as long as your user account is active.
Note that this service should not be used to send files to mailing lists.
Vedlegg.uib.no is a similar service from the IT department at UiB. (Vedlegg is Norwegian for attachment.) This has been available for several years, and is still working. A significant difference is that in FileSender you write and send an e-mail directly from that site, while in vedlegg.uib.no you receive a URL that you can copy and paste in an email.
