This guide shows how you can delete the mail prefix in Thunderbird.

  1. Start Thunderbird.
  2. Right click the mail accountand choose Settings.
  3. Mark (click once on) Server Settings.
  4. Press the Advanced button.
  5. Remove the prefix written in the field named IMAP server directory and press OK.
  6. Press the OK button in the Settings window as well, before you restart Thunderbird.
